I'm about to purchase the IDI Power Fins by Aqua-Lung/U.S. Divers so I can train with them in the local pool. I fear that they will no allow me to use these due to their requirement of boot use. I have spoke with them personally about using my Goggles in the pool. They understand that I'm training for the military so they permit me to use diving goggles; but when I walk in their with my bates on and IDI Power Fins in my hands I'm not sure what they will say. My question is am I better of buying Duck Feet Fins and using a regular pair of dive booties or should I go ahead and buy the Power Fins to wear with my Bates? Which will better prepare me for BUD/S? Thanks, Rugger

When you use fins in BUD/S, you will be using basic fins with dive booties. You will not be strapping them over your Bates (unless its changed since Ive been there but I doubt it). Make sure you alternate your swimming - with and without fins as you will be doing plenty of both at BUD/S. good luck

I think so, these water boots will last a long time. You need to use booties while you use fins as well.

You guys really need to be doing 50% swimming with fins to get your bodies used to it.
