Does anybody have a door gym or similar style chinup bar? Do you like it/is it easy to use?

I recieved a screw-in style chinup bar for Xmas, but I don't want to drill six holes in the woodwork of my rented apartment. Does the doorgym allow for full range of motion? Does it mark the surface it's on?

I have a door gym and I think it is pretty much worthless. To be honest there isnt much room in a door way to do chin ups and pull ups and I was always worried that I would eventually rip the door or the door jam off. Instead I just went to home depot and bought 1 1/2" pipe, elbow connectors, and T-connectors and made a pull up bar for my back yard. If you make the leg stands on long enough on each side its impossible to tip the thing over due to torque. And the materials only ended up costing me around $30.

I have the Creative Fitness Door Gym http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=3408471 and it works fine. No damage to the door frame.

My 2 cents on the screw in version. I have had a screw in bar for around three years and have moved to several different apartments. The bar is pretty rock solid when screwed in. It doesn't move and feels good. When you take it off the damage done is only superficial, only six holes to plug with wood filler. I have had no problems with landlords. I guess its still up to you and depends on the type of lessor you have.
