I have never heard "wool" dive socks.

Currently I just use regular neoprene dive booties that have hard rubber soles, when I use my fins.

Should I invest in some different type of dive footwear such "wool dive socks"?

Blake...

Wool dive socks are NOT a bootie. This is what they are:

You have to wear them as your socks during BUD/S. Booties are a totally separate deal (and you obviously have to wear them with duck feet).

These socks are ok, just don't dry them. It's sucks trying to stick your wet foot into a wool sock that has shrunk because you've dried them.
