Hello all. As Dick Couch noted in "Warrior Elite," the account offers a snapshot of BUD/S, one that is sure to change (and get even better) with each successive class.

I'm sure many of the basics remain the same. Given the number of classes that have gone through since 228, though, I'd be interested to hear about changes to the schedule, structure, and execution of BUD/S - subject to opsec considerations, of course.

From when I went with classes 263 and 264, there were some considerable changes from 228, but not much. There's no dive tower for training the last time I checked, and boats are rarely carried by the handles for long distance. Instead, you carry them on your head for long distance, which in my opinion, is worse.

Indoc was very strenuous when I went through, almost to the point where Phase 1 didn't seem like that big of a shock to me.

Although rumors I have heard lately indicate that there has been some pretty signifigant changes to BUD/S since I was there a year ago.
