Hey,
So I was turned onto the book "Pacifism as a Pathology" by Ward Churchhill by a friend. Here it is on Amazon The book focuses on the common thought that "war is evil so we should talk everything out," and showing through history and such the reasons why that is not possible. I have just started the book, but am finding it very interesting. While I don't think war is the answer to everything, I find it a very good read considering most of the people I grew up with find the military "overly harsh," and "unethical," and that we could do better without it. The whole country seems to be formulating a similar view, and this book explains the flaw in design of pacifism. Hope you enjoy. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Craig G., "I ran. I don't support anything this guy has to say or write about.
Look at his past history of comments and why he was fired from the University of Colorado. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ward_Churchill |

Oh, wow. Well that article that you posted really does mark him as an a**hole in my book (kind of makes me want to delete this entire suggestion of the book). My apologies, I didn't realize that about the author. I have noticed, as I've gotten farther into the book, that he is an extreme liberal which through me off guard, but I didn't realize he had those types of negative views.
Without that knowledge, I do like some of the illustrations he used in the book, but that article kind of discredits him as a reliable source. Again, my apologies. "I ran. It seems to me that if anyone were to agree to any of Churchill's comments you'd just get flamed, keeping anyone from having a real discussion.

Ya, I actually gave up on the book after reading that wikipedia article. Mod can close this if you want to. I'm kind of embarrassed to have started the post. This message has been edited.
