This book is an excellent read and a ton of previously unknown information (at least to me) is let known. Also, one of the most motivating parts in the book for me, is when he talks about the one guy who weighs about 120lbs (about the same as me) and toughs it out in the evolution through the desert and makes it. Haven't read the book since I bought it, but am definatly gonna give it another read once I'm finished reading The Warrior Elite for the upteenth time.

This book with The Warrior Elite are some of the best info anywhere on what to expect. I enjoyed them both. It is great to here what is going on now in the Teams. The Teams are alwasy going through an evolutionary process so they can meet the growing operational needs of today and tomorrow. It is necessary to be open to change and improvements. They will both be a constant to you in the Teams.

I loved both of Couch's books. The Finishing School was a detailed look into what happens after BUD/s. It is interesting that so much attention is put on BUD/s but not on what happens in SQT afterwards. SQT is just as long if not longer than BUD/s yet no one talks about it. It is motivating to me to see all the training come together for these guys. As someone who wants to go the officer route I like getting an inside look at what officers have to do in SQT. Great read and would highly recommend it.

The life of a SEAL comprises two things. Training and War. You will be doing one or the other ALWAYS.
