I disagree, I think it was one of the most emotionally touching stories I have ever read. Sometimes I felt like it was me wandering around with a mouth caked full of mud, and bleeding just praying to find some water. I also think that it was packed full of subtle advice for an aspiring SEAL. The one that most jumps out at me was PAY ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING THEY SAY, AND HEED EVERY PIECE OF ADVICE GIVEN. Like he said there is only an eyelash between you and the honorman of your class.

Michael,

Don't get me wrong I also thought it was a very moving story for the same reason you did. I just thought that if it was better written it could have had even more of an impact. I agree with you though. I definitely will remember Luttrell's advice.

Jason I hear what you are saying but this was an authentic attempt for a Frogman to get his story out. All campfire stories are in the same type or archaic style.

There are a lot of take aways from this book.
