Haha, no I didn't (Frowner)but I'll be graduating this month! With that done I am going to focus my attention entirely on BUD/s prep and I'll be able to read whatever I want. Smiler

Thanks for expanding on those points.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, Mike.

Now, to finish the book:

Tim Noakes ends the book with two of the most important chapters;

Bone and muscle: a discussion of non-site-specific injuries, then A troubleshooter's guide to site-specific injuries.

He describes in great details the management of each possible injuries.

For example, for ITBS, he talks bout this:
- Description
- Diagnosis
- Cause
- Training errors
- Training surfaces
- Shoes
- Hereditary Factors
- Stretching and strendthening exercises
- Specific Treatment

So, in all, it is a good book to get information on any injury. There are many treatment options that one can consider as well.

That book was recommended to me by Dr Romanov since I had no inkling what running injuries were. He thought it would be a good book to help me to get more knowledgeable about the vocabulary my "future' injured customers might use when they come to me to learn Pose.

It is an excellent reference book that should be in the library of each and every runner.

Hope you enjoyed the discussion!

I am presently reading another book from Noakes: The Lore of Running. If you have a couple of hours (the book has over 900 p.), add this foundation book to your list of readings! It is not necessaraly an easy read, but well worth your time.

Again, because I run POSE, they're certain statements I would dispute. But I also know that Dr Noakes and Dr Romanov are working together in order to evaluate if running POSE is conducive to running injury-free. And according from excellent sources, it looks very good at this point of the research.
