That's what it's looking like...sounds like everybody is facing budget cuts....not having to pay for PRK for every prospective BUD/S candidate is a pretty good way to save money, when every time you're looking at 70% of them not making it through.

Shane I am not sure for O's but for enlisted yes if you are 20/80 then you are going to have to get PRK or LASIK.

I prefer PRK though because there is no scaring.

If you guys have eyesight that doesn't meet these standards, don't mess with it - go and get PRK/LASIK on your own dime. I had it done before joining the military, on my own dime, and it was totally worth it.

Do you have to have depth perception to qualify as well. I have 20/20 in my left eye and 20/25 in my right eye it can not be fixed any better will i be aloud or not. Also surgery is not an option if ur thinking that. thanks guys

You have to be correctable to 20/25. So you are good.
