what about depth perception??? thanks for the info. If you make it through BUDS do u have to take an eye test and a physical at every school you go to. Like SERE school and Jump school and Dive school. I guess if you can get into BUDS you have no worries but i just want to know.

You'll have to take a eye "test" when you get to MEPS that includes color vision and acuity (I think that's the word, IE your ability to see) but I don't remember a depth perception exam. Once you get to basic, you'll have another eye exam, which I assume is more in depth. I'm sure depth perception is necessary to get to and graduate BUD/S, as you'll be shooting, among other things. Is it correctable via surgery or how bad is it? Talk to your recruiter for best/current advice.

Ryan I don't think there is a depth perception at MEPS right now for a SEAL contract.
Blake, what is your vision? It depends on how bad it is. If you need surgery you will get it once you get to BUD/S. They will roll you back for 2 classes.

Thanks Admin Well i have already been to MEPS and taken all my test, physical and ASVAB for the Air force PJs. As well as passing there PAST test. But i didnt pass the 20/20 part and i tried to get a waiver. My vision was 20/20 and 20/25. the only reason i ask is because the airforce PJs dont require depth so i didnt know if the SEALS did. Thanks alot guys
