My vision is 20/40 in one eye and 20/50 in the other eye.

So does anyone know for sure if you have to have depth perception or not to go to buds. Bc when i went to MEPS they didnt test everyone for it and i was one of them. Not sure why though. Well thanks for all the help again.

This is just my experience, but when I went to MEPS in March in the hopes of applying for a SPECWAR commission, I took and failed the depth perception test and was still qualified. I got 20/30 and 20/40 and that was apparently good enough. It may be different for the SO rating.

Same thing happened to me, when I went to MEPS. I had the 'Navy job classifiers' ( I guess that is their title) look it up in the "book" and they told me that the depth perception test was not listed as a requirement to recieve a SO contract.
Though I am not sure if it is different when you go for your 'dive physical' at bootcamp.

Right now depth perception is not a requirement for a SEAL contract.
