Hey guys, I know this should be in the swimming section, however, seeing that this is the most active forum by far, I thought I'd try it here. Admins, if you think it should be moved, please by all means do so :-)
Anyhow, I finally got around to having a buddy film my swimming. I was frustrated because my time has been at about 10 mins and hasn't budged in a long time. I'm sure you all could offer some suggestions. Thanks! Tyler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXof7v2EBXs Tyler B. Young, MS, ATC, CSCS, PES, SPT the only easy day was yesterday |

currently, I'm in the pool as often as possible. 3-4 days per week. I usually do 10x100 yd repeats with 30 seconds rest. Like we spoke about before, I just got back in the pool about 3-4 weeks ago, after about a year off. It's going very slowly, but I'm definitely gaining my fitness back...finally!

looks like your head is tilted upward a little bit which of course creates drag. try keeping that down ear close to the shoulder. You should only have to slightly rotate the body so only a little bit of your face breaks the surface to get air. Also keep telling yourself while swimming to stretch long, be long. besides that it doesnt look bad, just keep practicing. Take it slow as you said, the technique is the most important thing, after you master that the speed will come.

I am going to have Don Walsh take a look at it. I do recommend you take a look at this DVD.
